Headquartered in Arusha—the adventure capital of East Africa—we are a locally rooted, boutique expedition and safari company run by people who live and breathe Tanzania’s wilderness.

Mr. Avik Mondal is an acclaimed professional wildlife photographer based in India and Aardvark Expeditions’ dedicated partner for specialized photography safaris across Tanzania.
Our partnership began in the field across the dramatic plains of the Ndutu region (Southern Serengeti / Ngorongoro Conservation Area) during the Great Migration Calving Season. Leading international photography groups year after year, Avik teamed up with Aardvark Expeditions to design the ultimate photographic field experience—combining custom-configured 4×4 safari vehicles, off-road tracking permits, and expert driver-guides who understand lighting angles, animal behavior, and patience in the wild.
Today, Avik curates bespoke Tanzania Wildlife Photography Expeditions—from predator action during the Ndutu calving months to Mara River crossings in the Northern Serengeti.
